The SLAKLINE was designed to descend like a downhill bike but pedal like a short-travel trail bike and it does so in every possible way…. After spending 18 months testing alloy prototypes based around the old shock mount standards, we went back to the drawing board on this bike and designed a completely new frame, ground up, based on the new metric shock standard. Everything changed: geometry, linkage and layout.
We took advantage of the use of the 4 bar horst link suspension, better suited to long travel bikes and optimised the pedalling anti-squat around a 32/34 tooth single chainring, providing an optimum pedalling platform with exceptional traction under acceleration and braking providing what we believe to be the most balanced feeling bike.
Without getting too carried away, the SLAKLINE has a long reach and slack head angle, where we feel the sweet spot between speed and manoeuvrability lies.
